Who We Are
We are just Christians. We strive to follow the pattern that is found in the Bible for everything that we do.
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God.
And we look to the Bible as our only source of authority. It contains the commands, the examples, and the cases of
necessary inference that guide everything that we do.
What you can expect to see if you visit us
We try to be very friendly and greet all of the visitors who come our way.
You will be treated with respect.
Everything that happens in worship will be done "decently and in order" (1 Corinthians 14:40). Nothing that we do is for our own entertainment. We come together to do what is pleasing to God.
As part of our service, we will offer up prayers to God (1 Timothy 2:8).
There will be preaching that comes from God's Word (Acts 20:7, 2 Timothy 4:2). This is meant to instruct us about God's Word.
We will also sing "psalms and hymns and spiritual songs" (Ephesians 5:19, Colossians 3:16). This will be done without the accompaniment of musical instruments because that is the pattern that we find in the Bible. The Bible commands us to sing. There is no command or example to play a musical instrument.
On the first day of every week, we will partake of the Lord's Supper (Matthew 26:26-29, Acts 20:7).
Also on the first day of the week, the members will contribute freewill offerings into the treasury of the church (1 Corinthians 16:1-2). As our visitor, you will never be asked to participate in this contribution.
We have Bible classes for young children starting at age 1 up through adults. Bible Study is a very important part of what we do. The Bible reveals God's Will to us. We need to know what God wants us to do because Jesus said that only those who obey God will go to heaven (Matthew 7:21-23).
We would be blessed if you would come and worship God with us. We would be very happy to see you.
