We have been working and praying as this meeting drew near. Now is the time to support the work with our faithful attendance. Every service this week…
Gives us an opportunity to worship God. “I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go into the house of the Lord’” (Ps. 122:1). Worship is a time for us to commune with God is a special way – directing our praise, honor, and thanksgiving to His throne. God is seeking those who will worship Him correctly (John 4:23-24). What a privilege to do so daily this week.
Gives us an opportunity to study God’s Word. The word of God will build us up and give us an inheritance with the saints (Acts 20:32). If we know great treasures are found in God’s word (Ps. 119:162), we will gladly avail ourselves of the extra opportunities to study.
Gives us an opportunity to encourage one another. The theme of this meeting is “Arise and Build.” The assemblies of the local church are designed by God to provide the means of mutual edification (Heb. 10:24-25). Every service we attend will help us grow spiritually - if we attend with a mind to do so.
Gives us an opportunity to greet visitors. People have been invited to this meeting. Those who respond are showing great interest and courage by walking into an unfamiliar setting. Our warm welcome will put them at ease and help them better open their hearts to hearing God’s word. This act of love is an important role to play in encouraging the lost to respond in obedience to the gospel (Prov. 11:30).
