Spring is a beautiful time for renewal. As the earth is rejuvenating itself, it may be time for you to consider the same. Romans 12:1-2 says, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." Although the renewal the earth is going through now is physical, the most important renewal one can go through is spiritual.
Some would believe that renewal is a nebulous or ethereal process with no definitive steps. But the need for renewal presupposes a condition of sin, which we all have (Romans 3:23). If you need to be renewed from sin, you must have faith in the Bible as God's word and believe that God exists (Hebrews 11:6). You must also repent of your sins (Acts 17:30). Furthermore, you must confess Jesus as the Son of God before men (Matthew 10:32). Finally, you must be immersed in water for the remission of your sins (Acts 2:38). At that point, you will be saved and a member of the Lord's church (Acts 2:47).
If you are out there and have obeyed the gospel in the past but have fallen away, you need to repent in the same manner as Simon in Acts 8:22. Come back to the Lord and His faithful service. Worship with the saints and build yourself up in the most holy faith (Hebrews 10:24-25; Jude 20). Paul wrote, "For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day" (2 Corinthians 4:16). Contact us if you would like further study.
