When One Quits the Church

- He has sinned against God (James 4:17).
- He has departed from God (Hebrews 3:12).
- He is an unfruitful branch (John 15:4-8).
- He has been spued out (Revelation 3:15-16).
- He is robbing God (Malachi 3:8, 1 Corinthians 16:2).
- His condition is worse than an alien sinner (2
Peter 2:20-21).
- His is like the foolish virgins (Matthew 25:1-13).
- He is an unprofitable servant (Matthew 25:14-30).
- He does not love the Lord (John 14:15).
- He is not fit for the kingdom (Luke 9:62).
- His faith is dead (James 2:26).
- He is salt without savour (Matthew 5:13).
- His light has gone out (Matthew 5:14-16).
- He is failing to glorify God (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
- He is ignoring Jesus' command to observe the
Lord's Supper (1 Corinthians 11:24), and fails to show forth the Lord's death
(v. 26).
- He is blind, having forgotten that he was
purged from his old sins (2 Peter 1:9).
- He has drawn back into perdition (Hebrews 10:38).
- He violates Hebrews 10:25 - "Not forsaking
the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting
one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."
- He is walking disorderly (not according to
prescribed rules - 2 Thessalonians 3:6).
- The final results will be judgment and fiery
indignation (Hebrews 10:27).
