Be Thankful...
- For the spouse who says "it's hot dogs tonight," because they're home with you, not out with someone else.
- For the teenagers who complain about doing dishes; it means they're at home and not on the street.
- For the mess to clean up after a party; it means you've been surrounded by friends.
- For the clothes that fit a bit snug; it means that you have enough to eat.
- For the shadow that watches you work; it means you are in the sunshine.
- For the lawn that needs mowing, windows that need cleaning, and gutters that need fixing; it means you have a home.
- For all the complaining you hear about the government; it means we have freedom of speech.
- For the parking spot you find at the far end of the parking lot; it means you're capable of walking and that you have been blessed with a mode of transportation.
- For the high electric bill; it means you are warm.
- For the lady behind you who sings off key during worship; it means you can hear.
- For the pile of laundry and ironing; it means you have clothes to wear.
- For weariness and aching muscles at the end of the day; it means you have been capable of hard work.
- For the alarm that goes off in the early morning hours; it means you have another day and are alive.
- And Finally--for too much e-mail; it means you have friends who are thinking about you.
Let me add a few:
- For the daily problems you have with your children; it means you still have them at home for a while longer. (KMG)
- For the times that people seek out your help with their problems; it means they have confidence in your ability. (KMG)
- For all the leftovers you had over thanksgiving; it means God blessed your home with plenty during the past year. (KMG)
