Be Selfless
by David McPherson

“But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5).

The selfless sacrifice of Jesus is truly amazing. He never sinned, but was willing to give Himself over to torture and suffering for our sins. He never deserved punishment, but gladly endured wounds so we could receive forgiveness.

Truly, “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13). May we be impressed and ever present our “bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God” (Romans 12:1). May we (like Jesus) be selfless.
